If the cold symptoms last for several weeks and the child has headache, fever that is low and some pain. You may need to give your child some antibiotics.

FLU: When your child is fleeing miserable and not that happy, then your child could be having Flu. A fever, Chills, Fatigue, and Muscle aches are some of the symptoms of flu. "They're miserable because they just feel so bad," says Carol Steltenkamp, M.D., an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Kentucky.

You can give your child either Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen and this is safe for only children over the age of 6 months. You may call your doctor if your child is having some breathing problems or cannot drink plenty of fluids.


ALLERGIES: When your child has a nasal congestion, sneezing , itchy eyes and nose without a fever this could be Allergies. Benadry and Claritin can sometime proved relief.
